My love for Chihuahuas started as a child.  Only in 2004 I bought my foundation girl Nicky and it was the beginning of Chitem. 

We are a family team, Salome, Nick and Graeme Graham.  My daughter Lelanie Landman joined us early 2011 when she got her first Chihuahua puppy.  When I bought my second puppy the showing started.

Graeme started junior handling and excelled.  He presented South Africa in 2010 and 2011 as South Africa's International Junior Handler at Crufts in the UK.

Chitem dogs are combinations of several lines to establish the Chitem look in our Chihuahua's.  We also imported dogs from America before and this year with the help of my daughter, Lelanie Landman, we imported a Grand Champion smooth coat and a Champion long coat.

I want to thank all the people who helped and mentor me and achieve what I feel is a beautiful, sound, great moving Chihuahua and continue to improve the breed.  All are dogs raised with great love in our home.

Graeme also own and show 2 Basenji's and an English Springer Spaniel. That keeps us running between the show rings.

Chitem is a KUSA registered kennel located in Benoni, South Africa.
